Real Oviedo lost (2-3) this Saturday with Córdoba on matchday 21 in LaLiga Hypermotion, failing their option to get into direct promotion, while Granada drew (1-1) against Eibar despite playing the final stretch with one less in Ipurua.
The Asturian team gave in to the visit of an old man known as Iván Ania, coach of a Córdoba team who achieved their first victory of the season away from home. A golden victory for the Andalusians, who are moving away from the relegation zone, thanks to a strong start, where goals came from Nikolay Obolskiy and José Antonio Martínez.
The local reaction seemed to come with Luengo’s 1-2, but even in long injury time Theo Zidane made it 1-3. Córdoba defended with everything after its perfect first half and only Ilyas Chaira was able to cut back for Oviedo that remains on 35 points, fourth.
Provisionally, Granada stayed sixth with 33 after scratching a draw in Ipurua, where the Basques took the lead thanks to Antonio Puertas. With one less in the last half hour, due to the red card to Martin Hongla, the Nasrid team frustrated Eibar with Pablo Insua’s final 1-1 that kept the gun team away from the promotion zone.
Meanwhile, Sporting de Gijón was surprised (1-3) by a Málaga in positive dynamics to apply for the promotion zone. The Malaga team also achieved its first victory away from home at El Molinón, with a tremendous performance by Alfonso Herrero between the posts and goals by Roko Baturina and a double by Dioni in the last five minutes.
On the other hand, Real Zaragoza ended its bad dynamic in the first match after the departure of Víctor Fernández in an intense 1-0 against Racing de Ferrol in the relegation zone. Ager Aketxe scored the only goal in a duel with a lot of tension, where the Galicians missed a penalty and Racing coach Cristóbal Parralo headbutted coach David Navarro at the end of the game.
