MADRID, 13 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Oviedo became strong at the Carlos Tartiere to prevail (1-0) against Alavés, on matchday 23 of the SmartBank League, after scoring a solitary goal by Rodri Tarín in the second half, after the team from Vitoria would be outnumbered by the expulsion of Abqar.
After a first half with hardly any chances, the team led by Álvaro Cervera took advantage of the Moroccan footballer’s expulsion, for pushing Obeng when he was the last player, to score from set pieces and seal the match. The Carbayón central defender finished off a precise cross from Koba with a perfect parable, before which Sivera could do little or nothing.
The locals return to the path of victory after their last defeat in Andorra (3-1) and their cup elimination against Atlético de Madrid (0-2) to establish themselves in the middle of the table. Meanwhile, Luis García Plaza’s men saw their aspirations to get closer to the positions of direct promotion to the First Division halted.
