Only Messi and Cristiano have generated more goals than Bruno Fernandes at United

Manchester United is from new Champions League team and if someone has to thank the Red Devils it is none other than Bruno Fernandes. On Matchday 24, the last in which the team played without the Portuguese, United occupied the fifth position, six from Chelsea in the fourth and fourteen from Leicester, a team that ended up snatching the Champions places last Sunday. In addition, they were just four points from Newcastle, the fourteenth ranked in the table.

The situation did not look very favorable for those of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer they could get into the top four, but Bruno Fernandes has changed the face the mancuniano team and has become one of the fittest players in all of Europe. So much so, that within the five major leagues only Messi and Cristiano have directly generated more goals than Fernades since he debuted with United on February 1. Specifically, the offensive midfielder has entered orcho goals and has given nine assists, sixteen in total, while the stars of Juventus and Barça have participated in nineteen and twenty-eight respectively.

With the same total figures that the former Sporting Lisbon, appears Ciro Immobile, capocannoniere Serie A, and behind are Robert Lewandowski, Francesco Caputo and Duvan Zapata with fourteen goals generated and the Villarreal striker Gerard Moreno with thirteen.

These spectacular figures have led him to win the Premier League Player of the Month award in February and June, being the first Manchester United footballer to achieve such consecutive recognition since Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2007-2008 season. With all this on the table, no one can doubt that the 55 million (plus 25 in variables) paid by the English team in the last days of the winter market, were a great operation with which they have managed to save the season.

After securing the qualification for the Champions League, the year of Manchester United has not ended and now they will begin to prepare for the return of the round of 16 of the Europa League against Lask autriaco. With the 5-0 first leg the English are the big favorites to go to the quarters in a competition in which there are still important teams like Inter Milan, Seville, Rome, Wolves, Bayern Leverkusen or Getafe. On their way to the trophy, United will again hope to continue to take advantage of the sweet moment your new big star is going through, Bruno Fernandes.
