One last train to Carvalho

William Carvalho has before him a new summer of uncertainty at Betis. His prominence was scarce under the command of Manuel Pellegrini but he found an almost unexpected gift at the end of the year with his call for Portugal. The central midfielder wants to have playing time with his team and from there he can leave his last train for another opportunity.

Carvalho's name is on the table as a possible way out for several market windows, but Heliópolis never received an offer that could satisfy the demands of club and player. It was precisely the footballer who decided in winter that he wanted to stay at Betis, but he barely left any shine on the pitch since then and was even absent from the team in numerous crashes.

The club spent around 20 million euros three seasons ago and Carvalho's performance never lived up to expectations.. The Eurocup can serve as an incentive for any of his paths: convince Pellegrini that he can have a place in his next project or attract clubs that can carry out a large transfer.
