Olga Carmona supports Alberto Toril: “The players are the most responsible party for everything that is happening”

MADRID, 25 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish footballer Olga Carmona, a Real Madrid player, is clear that she and her teammates are “the most responsible party for everything that is happening” in this 2023/24 season, which has currently ended for the meringues with their elimination from the League. of Champions and with a small slump in League F, FC Barcelona took advantage to secure the lead.

“Everything that happens around us depends on us and that is why we are also the most responsible party for everything that is happening,” she declared in an interview with RTVE, regarding a campaign in which her coach, Alberto Toril, is slightly questioned.

On the other hand, Carmona recalled how he had been surprised that celebrities such as the singer Alejandro Sanz or the soccer player Andrés Iniesta sent him congratulations after winning the World Cup last summer with the Spanish team. “They caught my attention and I was also grateful at the time for the message they had sent me,” he stressed.

In this sense, the Madrid player described her life after scoring the winning goal in that final in Sydney (Australia). “You don't go calmly, you're always looking to see who's around you,” she joked. “On the other hand, too, all the options and alternatives that have been presented to me at the level of image, of marketing contracts,” she admitted.

This new commercial panorama was opened wide to him with a low left foot that is now part of the history of the 'Roja'. However, Carmona wants to keep his feet on the ground whenever he visits his hometown. “My house is in Seville and Olga is 100% Olga when she is with the family, because there I feel fulfilled and super happy,” she commented.

The death of her father, on the same day as the World Cup final, was an incentive for her. “Without a doubt, he gave me that boost from above; he helped me first to score that goal and then to ensure that all the conditions were in place to be world champions,” said the left back.

“I knew that something special had happened because, when I heard the people after the final whistle, I looked at the stands and my whole family was there. Now looking at him, having spent some time, I firmly believe that he helped me,” he added during your interview. “I would love for him to be at the parties. What am I going to say to a father, that I love him and that I miss him,” he concluded in his talk with RTVE.
