Official: the Copa Libertadores returns on September 15

After many months suspended by the coronavirus pandemic, The Libertadores Cup returns, the most important club competition in America. Conmebol has made the dates and times of the group stage official. The first four matches will be played on September 15. It should be remembered that it will be resumed from the third date, since the first two could be played before the pandemic.

If everything goes according to plan, the last matches of the first phase would be played on October 22. Since Conmebol it has not been specified how the second part of the tournament would take place. What can be confirmed is that all matches will be behind closed doors, following the instructions of the health authorities and copying the European model.
