Official: San Mamés will host two major European finals

It is already official. UEFA has announced that San Mamés will host two major European finals in the coming years. The stadium where Athletic plays will be the venue for the final of the women's Champions League in 2024 and also the place where the match for the men's Europa League title will be played in 2025, after playing in Seville (2022), Budapest ( 2023) and Dublin (2024).

This is the agreement reached by the City Council, the Diputación de Bizkaia and the Basque Government with the highest European football organization in compensation for the withdrawal to Bilbao from the headquarters to play four games of the last European Championship that ended with the triumph of Italy in the penalty shootout.
