Official: Jorge Jesús signs a season for Fenerbahçe

The Fenerbahce of Istanbul, one of the three great clubs of Turkeyannounced this Thursday the hiring of the Portuguese coach George Jesus for one season, with a guaranteed salary of three million euros.

“Our company has reached an agreement with Jorge Fernando Pinheiro de Jesus for the technical direction of the soccer A team in 2022-2023, in exchange for a guaranteed remuneration of 3,000,000 euros,” explains an official statement from the club.

The signing ceremony will take place tomorrow, Friday, at the stadium of the Fenerbahce.

In a short video broadcast on the club’s account on the social network Twitterthe Portuguese coach greets the fans.

“I have received thousands of messages from fans. Fenerbahçe is passion. I will be part of your life. I will show the same suffering and the same love that the Fenerbahçe fans have for their club. Long live Fenerbahçe”, says Jesus.

The coach came to istanbul on a private plane on Wednesday morning and yesterday he visited the facilities of the Istanbul club, which this year finished second in the turkish super league.

Thus, Fenerbahçe will play next season the qualifying rounds for access to the group stage of the Champions League.

Without training since the end of December 2021, when he left the Benfica, Jesus faces his third adventure abroad after training the Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia) and Flamengowith which he won the Brazilian championship and the Copa Libertadores in South America.
