MADRID, 6 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish tennis player Nuria Párrizas has bid farewell to the WTA 250 tournament in Monterrey (Mexico), played on hard court, after losing in the semifinals to Colombian María Camila Osorio (6-4, 6-4).

Despite taking a 2-0 lead in the opening set, the Granada-born world number 51 succumbed in the set after Osorio returned the break in the sixth game and lost her serve again in the tenth, despite resist the five previous ‘break’ balls.

The erratic second set also fell on the side of the Colombian, 44th in the WTA ranking, after she broke the Spanish serve four times -she signed three breaks-.

In this way, Osorio will seek the title this Sunday against the Canadian Leylah Fernandez, who defeated the Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia (6-1, 6-4) in the other semifinal.
