Nuria Párrizas falls in the third round of Australia

MADRID, 21 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Nuria Párrizas has said goodbye to the Australian Open, the first ‘Grand Slam’ of the season, after losing this Saturday in her third round match against the Croatian Donna Vekic (6-2, 6-2), for what that the ‘big’ oceanic is left without Spanish representation in the women’s individual table.

The Granada, number 75 in the world, took advantage of the only two breaking balls available to her in the match, one in each set, but they were insufficient to defeat a rival who sentenced the clash in just one hour of play.

A 4-0 run helped the Balkan, number 64 in the WTA ranking, to put a first set on track that would close with her serve, and again started with a 4-1 in the second to prevent the reaction of the Spanish, the last female representative of the ‘Army’.
