Nuno's Tottenham joins the battle for Jules Koundé

Jules Koundé is the man of the market in Seville and except for surprise, every day less disposable, the transfer that seems destined to unlock the Nervionense transfer market this season. The French defender is on vacation after finishing his Eurocup with France, but the greats have not yet made up their minds to put big offers on the table. In recent dates the name of a second-line club appears strongly, English Tottenham, who has money and desire to form a winning team to return to the Champions League positions in the Premier. This campaign has barely qualified for the Conference League. The Spurs have just hired the Portuguese Nuno Espírito Santo for their bench.

According to The Guardian, Tottenham will put on the table a first offer similar to the one that City made for Koundé in September 2020, between 55 and 60 million euros. A priori, in Nervión they expect the proposal to approach 70 to give its arm to twist. The times in which the Parisian central defender only left for the clause, of 80 million, have ended at the Sánchez-Pizjuán. Although they will not give the footballer either.

There aren't too many other suitors who can hit those numbers. In LaLiga, only Real Madrid. Barcelona is going through a tremendous economic crisis and Atlético has other plans. In the Madrid club, there is no money left either, They hope to sell Varane and see how the soap opera Mbappé ends to know how much can be offered for Koundé. There have already been media sounding balloons that speak of 50 million plus a player.

In addition to the whites and Tottenham, which is not one of the player's favorite destinations because he wants to play the Champions League, only two other two teams appear in red: Chelsea and Manchester United. The blues have already made some important rapprochement and United is waiting for what happens precisely with Varane.

Outside of Spain, Manchester City already signed Ruben Dias last season in place of the Sevilla defender. The Bayern Munich hired Upamecano a few weeks ago and Liverpool just bet on Konaté for more than 40 million.
