Nuno still unsolved the drought of Adama Traoré

Wolverhampton lost to Burnley (2-1) and the Wolves drop to eleventh with three losses in the last five games. Nuno's team accuses, among other things, the loss of Raúl Jiménez, but yesterday many Wolverhampton fans wondered why with the loss of the Mexican, Nuno returned to leave Adama for the second consecutive game on the bench. And not only that, but also why he took the field with the team already losing 2-0. The decision was an outcry when Adama, as soon as he went out onto the field, starred in a video game play, where the rivals could not take the ball from him after a slalom and he took out a very dangerous cross. He repeated the maneuver a few minutes later.

In the previous one, Nuno had stopped in the situation of the Spanish and in the reasons why he has stopped his inclusion in the eleven. According to him, it has nothing to do with Adama not having yet signed the renewal that Wolverhampton has put on the table. “I think that with the dialogue things will go well and everything will end well with Adama,” explained the coach about why the player has not sealed his new commitment, before dwelling on the reasons for his substitutions. “I think he's doing well. He started the season in a different position, as a winger, and then he left with the national team and had an ankle problem. It did not help him, he lost a lot of time in terms of preparation (…) the international breaks, later, I think they have not helped him much because he has lost a lot of time in terms of training, “wielded the coach who had already left him in the bench in the clash against Chelsea, although this time his team did win.

There is a fact that draws attention and that proves Nuno right. Adama has yet to score a goal or pass a goal with his team so far this season. Surely the loss of Raúl Jiménez, as a finisher to his centers, also has a bit to do with it. “I think he is improving. Many things, of course, have to improve, but he is committed and I am sure he will return to his highest level, highest again. The game is not just about goals, the game has many aspects. Adama is a good player and he will arrive, “said Nuno before the clash with Burnley.

During the game, Wolverhampton had a lot of possession and his rival waited for him to counter. When Nuno put Adama on the field, the score was already 2-0 against with half an hour to go. In the end, the clash ended 2-1. Adama had six goals and nine assists in 3,235 minutes last season. He offered a performance of 0.16 goals and 0.26 assists per game. He is now at zero in 760 minutes played. Nuno does not get the Spanish to perform again. Even with the loss of Raúl Jiménez, he has made him play at the top.
