“Now my focus is on staying cancer-free”

Kate Middleton On the evening of Monday, September 9, she gave the best possible news: she has completed her chemotherapy treatment. She announced it with an emotional Instagram video, in which she appears with her husband and three children in the countryside. “As summer comes to a close, I can’t express how relieved I am to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.”.

In her video, the Princess of Wales has taken stock of the most difficult months: “The last nine months have been incredibly difficult for us as a family.. Life as we know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate turbulent waters and an uncharted path.”

In this regard, he regretted: “The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone.especially for those closest to you. With humility, you also confront your own vulnerabilities in a way you’ve never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”

“This time has reminded Guillermo and me, above all, of the importance of reflecting and being grateful for the simple but important things in life that many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved,” she said.

The mother of George, Charlotte and Louis is aware that there is still a long way to go: “Doing everything I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus. Although I have completed chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.“However, I look forward to getting back to work and making some public engagements in the coming months when I am able.”

With strength and courage, Kate now faces full recovery: “Despite everything that has happened, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation for life.”.

The daughter-in-law of Charles III ended her message with a heartfelt message of thanks: “Guillermo and I are very grateful for the support we have received and we have found great strength in all those who are helping us at this time. The kindness, empathy and compassion of everyone has been truly touching.“.

Finally, she left a message of help to all the people who are going through the same disease of cancer: “To all those who continue their own journey with cancer: I am still with you, side by side, hand in hand. From darkness, light can emerge, so let that light shine brightly.”.

It was in March when the princess announced that she had cancer. She did so after undergoing abdominal surgery in mid-January. In all this time she has reappeared publicly on two occasions: at the Trooping The Colour in mid-June and, a month later, at the Wimbledon final, where she presented the champion’s trophy to Carlos Alcaraz from Murcia. Like Carlos III, who has also been battling cancer for months, the princess has not revealed at any time what type of cancer it is.
