Manchester United are smarting themselves up in this summer transfer market. The Red Devils have launched their project to try to fight again for the Premier League with top-level reinforcements. With Jadon Sancho, finally wearing red, they are now negotiating the arrival of Raphael Varane, but they want even more reinforcements in the center of defense.
According to Daily Mail, regardless of whether it arrives Varane, United will go looking for Jules Koundé, Sevilla central defender. The Old Trafford club has been behind the central defender for some time, which they consider a reinforcement for the present and also important for the future. Other English clubs such as Chelsea or Tottenham, which already have open negotiations with Sevilla this summer, are interested. This newspaper explains that Koundé would fit perfectly into what Solskjaer is looking for by age and also, by versatility when it comes to filling both the center-back and right-back positions.
For now, the English press highlights the intention to come with everything for Koundé, but does not speak of an offer or give figures for the French international center of Sevilla. He has a contract until 2024 and Sevilla does not have him openly among their transferable players, although they know the player's intention to 'make the leap' to one of the largest on the continent.
This season, Koundé has been a fixture in Julen Lopetegui's schemes with 49 games played throughout the season. His performances earned him a place in the Eurocup in which he did not finish settling in the blue team playing just one game (2-2 against Portugal).
