MADRID, 28 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Danish cyclist Emma Jorgensen (Movistar Team) has won the sixth stage of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2023, disputed over 122 kilometers between the towns of Albi and Blagnac, after entering the breakaway of the day and holding on at the finish, to to win by just one second over the peloton.
The rider from the Spanish team left together with the Polish Agnieszka Skalniak-Sojka (Canyon//Sram) and the Spanish Sandra Alonso (Ceratizit-WNT), who had more than two minutes ahead of the large group, but Alonso was first and then Skalniak were absorbed. Silkeborg’s resisted in the last meters.
On arrival at Blagnac, the Movistar rider accelerated very quickly, taking advantage of the tension in the peloton, which helped her to arrive with just a second ahead of the group, in which the Dutch Charlotte Kool (Team DSM) was the most fast, followed by the leader, the Belgian Lotte Kopecky (SD Work), who with the four bonus seconds extends her advantage.
In the overall Kopecky puts 53 seconds on the South African Ashleigh Moolman Pasio (Soudal Quick-Step) and 55 on the world champion, the Dutch Annemiek Van Vleuten (Movistar Team).
