Three Spanish players (Azpilicueta, Gerard Moreno and Pedri) and five of LaLiga (in addition to the last two mentioned, Benzema, Modric and Luis Suárez) are among the thirty contenders for the 2021 Ballon d'Or. Dominates, unsurprisingly, the Premier League, with 14 representatives, some of them (Cristiano, Lukaku…) acquired this summer.
With the same representatives as LaLiga the Series appears and with four the French League remains. The only representatives of the Bundesliga are its two great scorers: Haaland and Lewandowski.
By countries, Italy dominates, whose team was European champion, with five representatives, ahead of England (four) and Spain, France and Portugal (three). By club, the two finalists of the Champions monopolize more than a third of the list: there are six footballers from Manchester City and five from Chelsea. Of the Spaniards, Real Madrid (Benzema and Modric), Barcelona (Pedri), Atlético (Luis Suárez) and Villarreal (Gerard Moreno) are represented.
The winner will be announced on November 29, in an act that will take place at the Chatelet Theater in Paris.
