Manuel Agudo, ‘Nolito’, has started a new stage at Celta when he was transferred and enrolled in the Vigo club taking advantage of Sergio Álvarez's long-term injury. The Sanluqueño forward said goodbye to Sevilla fans after being even featured in Balaídos and did so on Thursday night through an Instagram message
“Today I say goodbye to what has been my home for the last 3 years. I want to thank all the people who have accompanied me during this time. To the club workers, the technical staff, the medical services and all the staff who take care of us. Thanks to my colleagues, it has been a pleasure to train and play with you. Thank you for all the moments we have lived together. Finally, and especially, I want to THANK the fans for these 3 years of love and respect that you have given me. It has been a pride to defend this shirt of this great club. My best wishes and successes in the future ”, expressed Nolito in his profile on this social network.
Nolito was already very close to joining Celta last summer, when it was an initial discard in the planning made by Julen Lopetegui and Monchi, but later the player convinced the coach in the preseason with a great performance and even started the League as a starter and scoring on the first day in the Espanyol field.
Since his arrival in the 2017-18 season, under the direction of Eduardo Berizzo and as a bet from Óscar Arias, Nolito has played 79 matches with Sevilla (49 in LaLiga, 11 in Copa del Rey and 19 in Europe), scoring 15 goals and distributing 13 assists, this being his best season as a Sevilla player.
With his return to Celta he returns to the team in which he had his best years, in which he achieved internationality and earned a position in Manchester City.
