Nine Barça players start the season 20-21

Barça reported this Monday that “although the 2019-10 competition is still underway, a total of nine FC Barcelona players will start their preseason this week for the 2020-21 season.” They are Pedri, Trincao, Matheus Fernandes, Todibo, Wagué, Aleñá, Rafinha, Miranda and Oriol Busquets, who will start the preseason this Tuesday afternoon with the corresponding medical tests. Only one of the players, Trincao, has secured a place in the Barça squad next season.

The club tries to get good money for Rafinha, Tobido and Aleñá, they think about giving up Miranda again; he will work on a loan with Pedri and Matheus and will try to find a way out for Oriol Busquets and Wagué. Only the case of Aleñá is more doubtful. If there is no strong offer, he could stay in the first team or be loaned.

The relevant medical check-ups are scheduled for Wednesday afternoon before the start of the preseason training sessions, which will begin on Thursday the 13th, at 6.30 pm, at the Joan Gamper Sports City. These nine players will continue their preparation with five training sessions scheduled for next week, all of them at 9.30 am.
