MADRID, 5 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Spain will once again be represented six years later in the European Ice Speed Skating Championship with the participation of Nil Llop and Luisa González in the event that is taking place this Friday in the Norwegian town of Hamar.
The two young Catalan skaters, aged 20 and 19 respectively, will try to shine at the Olympic Hall, where they will both compete in distances of 500 and 1,000 meters in an effort to demonstrate their current great form.
Thus, according to the Royal Spanish Ice Sports Federation (RFEDH), last December Llop made his debut with an eleventh place in the 500 meters of Division A, where the best in the world compete, from the Cup of the World Cup in Calgary (Canada), and so that González was eighth in Division B, both with new records for Spain.
Llop recalled that they are having “a good trajectory” this season and that he faces the continental event “with great enthusiasm”. “I am not going to say any results, but I hope to be close to the podium,” he warned in statements provided by the RFEDH. “We are really looking forward to going, it is our first European on ice and to see how it goes, we hope to have good results”, added Luisa González.
