Athletic Club announced this Thursday that it has executed the clause in Nico Serrano’s contract so that he will be a player for the Biscayan team until 2026, extending his current contract by two years, and has also made the transfer official in the form of the winger’s loan to Dutch PEC Zwolle.
The Navarrese winger has extended his relationship with Athletic Club for two more seasons, a contractual extension that the Basque club has carried out after activating the clause that allowed him to do so unilaterally. Now, Serrano is going on loan to PEC Zwolle for the 23-24 season, a team that plays in the Eredivisie, the Dutch First Division, a category to which he was promoted last season.
The 20-year-old player has played 17 official matches with Athletic, in which he has scored one goal. Last season he was on loan at CD Mirandés in the Second Division, and in the current rojiblanca preseason he participated in the two friendlies of the Mexican tour against Chivas and Necaxa.
