The complaint, which was filed this Wednesday in Clark County (Nevada), explains that the “aggression” against Shannon ‘Shay’ Ruth “It happened in February 2001 after a Backstreet Boys concert in Tacoma (Washigton).”
Ruth, now 39, says Carter “enticed her onto the group’s tour bus” and handed her “a drink he called VIP juice.” So, “he stripped naked and told me to get on my knees. He pushed me onto a bed and entered me as he begged me to stop,” she details.
“The last 21 years have been filled with pain, confusion, frustration, shame and self-harm, which are a direct result of being raped by Nick Carter. Although I am autistic and living with cerebral palsy, I believe that nothing has affected me more than what Nick Carter did to me,” the plaintiff stated.
Through his lawyer, Michael Holtz, the singer has pronounced: “This statement about an incident that allegedly occurred more than 20 years ago is not only without legal basis, but is also completely false.”
“Unfortunately, for several years, Ms. Ruth has been manipulated into making false accusations about Nick, and those accusations have repeatedly changed over time. No one should be fooled by a press stunt orchestrated by an opportunistic lawyer,” he defended.
