Neymar, broken into tears and comforted by a boy from Croatia after being eliminated from the World Cup in Qatar

Surprise at the World Cup in Qatar. This Friday, December 9, one of the great favorites has fallen, Brazil, who has lost in the penalty shootout against Croatia of Luke Modric. “Never give up”, the Real Madrid player wrote after getting a pass to the semifinals with his team.

Modric’s smile has eclipsed that of Neymar. The Brazilian star, who tasted glory after the goal he scored in extra time, has broken down in tears after being knocked out. On the pitch he was inconsolably embracing another player and, to his surprise, a spontaneous child came down onto the pitch and went directly to comfort him.

After seeing him, the PSG player gave him a kiss. Gestures like this show that football, sometimes, is more than a sport (despite the fact that the World Cup is played, for pure economic interests, in a country where human rights are trampled).

While Brazil says goodbye to the most longed-for competition, the Argentina of Leo Messi is measured against the Netherlands also this Friday. This Saturday it is the turn of Cristiano Ronaldo, who faces Morocco with the Portuguese team. England faces off against the France of Mbappe. Spain watches their home games and with Luis Enrique already fired from the National Team.
