New Sánchez Vicario scandal: Emilio, accused of hiding alleged sexual abuse at his tennis academy

The reason is extremely serious: they are investigating alleged sexual abuse of minors at the tennis academy of which he is the founder and CEO. This Wednesday they issued a statement to deny some assumptions: “Fortunately, the event mentioned is the only one that has occurred so far.”

They further state that the “Academy took the initiative from the first moment the facts became known” and? “The school did not disengage at any time”, thus responding to the accusations of the minor's mother, an alleged victim of sexual abuse at the Emilio Sánchez Vicario facilities. The woman has assured in the Sonsoles program: “We discovered that they were aware of what was happening but they hid it from us”. And he states bluntly: “My daughter says she is not the only one, there are other girls who have suffered it too.”

The woman insists that the school management did not offer her any help after reporting the situation: “They told me that this was a problem among the kids. They only offered me to change centers”. An accusation to which the statement issued by the academy also responds: “It is simply false that the family did not receive support and no one told the mother that it was 'a problem among the children'”. And they add: “The proof of the satisfaction of the minor and her family with the actions taken and the reaction of the Academy is that they opted for the minor to remain in school.”

Finally, Emilio Sánchez Vicario assures that they are collaborating in the investigation and waiting for the conclusions before taking any action against this mother's accusations: “At the moment we prefer to wait to see if we report, although I don't think we will.”
