The original Hamilton Frogman was used by US Navy underwater demolition teams during World War II and was built to withstand the harshest conditions. Equipped with a canteen-style screw-down crown to protect the mechanism from water ingress and a highly legible dial, Frogman watches formed the basis of the most dangerous missions in the deep. In 1951 it was presented to the public and made its debut on the big screen in the drama The Frogmen. Hamilton’s Frogman upholds the legacy of a reliable precision instrument.

Reinterpreted as a modern adventure watch, the Khaki Navy Frogman Automatic pays homage to its military roots while maintaining the strong DNA of its predecessor. The most recent versions are presented in a 41mm case enhanced with a unidirectional bezel and raised numerals and indices to provide additional grip. The watch’s screw-down crown, a nod to the design of the original Frogman, is protected by a robust bridge-shaped guard that guarantees water resistance to 30 bar (300 m).

Underwater, readability is critical. The 41mm Khaki Navy Frogman Automatic features an ultra-readable black or khaki green dial with Super-LumiNova® accents to ensure accurate reading in all circumstances. The orange details on the minute and second hands stand out and give character to the design of the dial, as well as the divided Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock, which evokes military aesthetics.

Like the 46mm version, the 41mm Khaki Navy Frogman Automatic is powered by our H-10 automatic movement with an 80-hour power reserve and a Nivachron® hairspring that is resistant to shock, temperature variations and magnetic fields. .
