NBA: Delonte West, a trajectory full of incidents and mental problems | NBA 2019

Former NBA Delonte West has become the center of attention for American college and professional basketball after appearing in a shirtless video, sitting on the floor and saying incoherent things with his hands cuffed, while being interrogated by the police outside from Washington DC.

The video, which has gone viral through social networks, has generated that the coach that West had at the University of Saint Joseph, in Philadelphia, Phil Martelli, and the former teammate and then also an NBA professional, Jameer Nelson, have offered to help you.

West, 36, who played in Boston, Seattle, Cleveland, along with LeBron James, and Dallas, had several legal and health problems while he was an NBA professional. He also played in the basketball of China and Venezuela and then also was in the NBA Development League, where he finished his career.

Meanwhile, the county police chief of Prince georgein Washington DC, Henry P. Stawinski IIIHe informed reporters that the agent who recorded the dialectical exchange with West handcuffed and sitting on the floor was suspended pending an investigation into how the video was made public.

In it, which was published on Twitter, an unidentified man asks West why he had just been attacked by someone and if he had been acting in self-defense. West said he was walking down the street when a man approached him with a gun and then said a series of unintelligible things.

Stawinski said that the images of the interaction seemed to be recorded by a mobile phone and not by a camera built into the body used by the agents of his department. The police said in a previous press release that agents responded Monday morning at 9:45 to a report of a fight between two men at number 6700 on Oxon Hill Road.

When the agents arrived, the two men had been separated. After one of the men was handcuffed, which turned out to be West, a witness told police officers that the detainee had used a glass bottle to hit the other man, who responded by throwing punches.

After talking with both of them, the agents determined that the two met and had participated in a “prolonged fight” that morning, Stawinski said. That dispute is revived when one of the men saw the other walking on Oxon Hill Road. Neither was identified by the Prince George County police in his statement. Both refused to file charges, neither cooperated with detectives and both declined to be taken to a hospital.

Stawinski noted that the researchers who interviewed the two men who fought determined that neither represented an immediate threat to himself or others.
