BARCELONA, 13 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) have announced on Thursday the second edition of 3V3 tournaments in Spain, which will begin on April 26 in Villanueva de La Serena (Extremadura) and will arrive in Ourense (Galicia) on Saturday May 10 and Tenerife (Canary Islands) on May 17, and in which more than 900 children will 12 years or less.
“The inaugural tournaments Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA 3V3 of last year demonstrated the huge passion that awakens the basketball 3v3 among the young Spaniards. We are looking forward to bringing this initiative to new cities in 2025 and continue working together with the Feb and Kellogg’s to offer a positive experience to all the young people who participate,” said the Vice President of Operations of NBA Operations of NBA Europe.
For its part, the president of the Feb, Elisa Aguilar, has shown her pride with the news of this second edition. “We are very proud that a project like the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Tournaments Spain 3v3 will start up this season in Galicia, the Canary Islands and Extremadura,” he said.
The Jr. NBA/JR tournaments. WNBA Spain 3v3 are part of a multiannual collaboration between the NBA and Kellogg’s in which the international food company supports 105 Leagues Jr. NBA/JR. WNBA in which more than 40,000 young people from 19 European countries participate every year.
Jr. NBA/JR. WNBA is the global youth basketball program of the League for boys and girls that teaches the fundamental skills, as well as the fundamental values of the game-work in team, respect, determination and community-to help grow and improve the experience of youth basketball of players, coaches and parents.
