Natxo González: “We will let the boys enjoy this joy”

Match analysis. “More than with the victory, I prefer the way of achieving things. We have had the game controlled at all times, putting ourselves ahead, but it is a field and a team that makes you take the ball very quickly to the vicinity of your area and there is always that uncertainty. We have been very good defensively. On an offensive level we are growing and we have been able to make it 0-3 and reach the last minutes calmer. Congratulations to the players who deserved it and logically also to this great fans, that we can make them smile a little”.

Three points that compensate for previous work. “It is difficult to defend if there are no results. So, internally we know that we are taking steps towards what we want. Every week it is confirmed. This is an award for that work that these guys already deserved for the day to day, for what we hit last week (the tie against Cartagena in 94′) etc, etc…“

Why have you chosen to play with three centre-backs? “Circumstances do not make me back down any decision. Regardless of the scheme, the important thing is the idea. We knew that Amorebieta makes you get the ball to your area. There are very powerful people with a lot of set pieces and we wanted to balance that. And also with two forwards to have depth “

Can you use it more? “Let me enjoy and from tomorrow we’ll see.”

How important is victory to build confidence? “Everything except looking at the classification. I always insist that it was a 17-day League and that we had to make a group of those games, (since it arrived). There is talk of the classification, but this is a reward for the work that It’s day to day and week after week it didn’t translate into positive results. But every time we got closer, that’s what we have to do, leave with the feeling of having been able to win and today we were able to and we won. I’m glad a lot for the players and the fans”.

Cufré on the left side “I don’t want to individualize. It’s a team effort, each one has their role in the defensive and offensive game and for me it’s a 10 for everyone for the effort and for how we have competed. We are very happy, but what that there is from that minute zero to 105… I don’t know what he added, it’s what makes me very satisfied and see that the day-to-day work bears fruit”.

To achieve a victory at La Rosaleda: “We have achieved a victory that is important, but this does not stop. We cannot settle for this. We will try to make this a turning point. We will let the boys enjoy a bit of this joy, but we know that today we have done nothing more than break a little that negative dynamic in which we were”.
