Natxo González: “Obviously, it’s a step backwards”

Tough defeat: “I see positive things, but they are hard to believe possibly. On a personal level I see a lot of things, from the outside to say that we are improving is difficult. You have to accept defeat.”

Match rating: ”The first half was quite balanced. Defensively we haven’t been bad, offensively we lacked depth in the first half. There were arrivals of them until that goal. The goal puts you in tow. We started well in the second half and after six or seven minutes it was 2-0. From there we have tried, we have had options to get into the game. My feeling is that it is too heavy a defeat for what has been seen in the 90 minutes.”

Step back: “Every time you lose it’s a step backwards, obviously.”

Solutions: “We try to find the solutions that I am here for. Within the field of play, regardless of the result, you see things, contributions, possible structures for the future where we can improve those deficiencies. The few goals in favor… today we have had clear chances, we have generated them. Other days we didn’t have so many options. Losses are always difficult to assimilate. Obviously every time you lose forward you don’t take steps. It’s about winning and if you don’t, it’s a step backwards.”

Closeness with the descent: “You are always worried, busy trying to solve the deficiencies that we are having. On the other hand, with the team, every day that passes and you don’t manage to win, the concern increases. From the first day I say that the way out of this is the work. Despite the results, we are doing things well. Trusting what we will do, which is the way. We have to worry but we have to continue on the path. What we want will come to us. I try to be emotionally balanced, not I want to think about qualifying, or contaminate myself. I have to look for solutions and be fresh to continue working”.

Ismael Casas as central: “He’s another central defender we have in the squad. He has been good, within the team’s regular line. He would single him out as a good match.”

Sanse had not conceded at home since matchday 3: “In the end, the idea is always the same at Sanse. We had already talked about it being a team that wasn’t adding or scoring goals, but that it is dangerous. Nothing has surprised me. From then on we haven’t been able to give response to things that have made us lose the game.
