Nahia Zudaire, Iker Sastre and Álex Sánchez Palomero talk about their experience in Paris 2024

MADRID, 12 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Paralympic athletes Iñigo Llopis, Nahia Zudaire, Iker Sastre and Álex Sánchez Palomero, who participated in Paris 2024, and former footballer Raúl García, Emen4sport ambassador and third player in LaLiga history with the most official matches played, took part in a discussion this Thursday at the BAT tower in Bilbao.

Llopis, who won two medals in swimming (gold in the 100m backstroke and bronze in the 4x100m mixed), described the Paris Games as “a unique experience”. “Each event was a gift and we enjoyed it to the fullest. Luckily, I have been working with Emen4sport for several years and the elite level of the professionals is passed on to us and helps us achieve our dreams,” he commented.

Sánchez, who spent his fourth Olympic Games in the French capital, then highlighted the role of Emen4sport in his career: “We know that we have many aspects to control and we know that they are under control with them. These aspects are what make Paralympic sport reach its highest level and in our case we achieved this thanks to them.”

Zudaire also returned from Paris with four diplomas and highlighted “the warmth of the people” to “live the whole process of preparing for the Games knowing that your people will be there supporting you and making the Games their own.” “In the four years I have been with Emen4sport I have worked in different ways but going to a championship and seeing a familiar face has helped us all,” added the swimmer.

Meanwhile, Sastre was a quarter-finalist in table tennis. “The fact that your family, your team and your people are there supporting you in the stands is very nice. Emen4sport helped me a lot on the road to Tokyo 2020 and without them I wouldn’t have qualified for my first Olympics,” he said about this company specialising in sports performance.

For his part, Raúl García recounted his experience accompanying the Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE) expedition in Paris: “For me, I have felt lucky. I had not experienced the Games as an athlete, but thanks to Emen4sport I have been able to follow them. I hope to be able to continue helping them and learning from them,” predicted the former Athletic player.

“If there is one thing I want to do from my perspective, it is to help them in whatever way I can. It has been a short time, but it has been long enough to know that I want to be close to them, and that it will be for a long time,” said García as part of the link between Emen4sport and the CPE under the umbrella of the ADOP Plan.

Ander Romarate, technical director of the company specialising in sports performance, analysed this link. “We are very proud to see how the Emen4sport method supports both elite athletes and anyone who wants to improve their health and/or physical condition,” he concluded regarding Paris 2024.
