The third day of the Paralympic Swimming World Championships that are taking place in Manchester (England) left another two Spanish medals, a total of 12 so far, with the bronzes won by Nahia Zudaire and the mixed 4×50 medley relay of 20 points.
Zudaire took the bronze medal in the 100-meter breaststroke SB7 (physical disability) stopping the clock in 1’38″14, his second medal in the English event after the silver obtained in the 400 freestyle on the first day of competition.
In addition, in the 20-point mixed 4×50 medley relay, Spain won another bronze medal in a magnificent race by the relay made up of Antonio Ponce, Miguel Luque, Sarai Gascón and Marta Fernández.
For her part, Teresa Perales achieved fourth position in the 100 backstroke S2 (physical disability) with a mark of 2’45″14 close to the medal in her good adaptation to the new category after her reclassification. David Sánchez was also fourth in the 200 SM6 IM with a time of 2’50″78.
In the 50 freestyle S12 (visually impaired), Álex Villarejo and Borja Sanz achieved sixth and eighth place with times of 25’80 and 26’38, respectively. In addition, Miguel Luque in the 150 SM4 styles (physical disability) got the sixth position.
On the other hand, José Antonio Marí in the 100 butterfly S9 (physical disability) was in sixth position with a mark of 1’02″27 and Anastasiya Dmytriv was seventh in the 100 butterfly S9, the same as Enrique Alhambra in the 100 freestyle S13 ( visual disability).
In addition, Emma Feliu and Marian Polo were fifth and sixth in the 100 freestyle S13, beating the Spanish record with a time of 1’01″83 by Emma. In the 100 butterfly S8 (physical disability) Íñigo Llopis, with record from Spain (1’05″75), and Sergio Martos were sixth and eighth respectively.
