MUNICH (GERMANY), May 13. (dpa/EP) –
The coach of Bayern Munich, Julian Nagelsmann, has refused this Friday to be carried away by the speculations that link the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski with FC Barcelona, insisting that the Pole, with a contract until June 2023, enters his plans “normally” ahead of the final Bundesliga game this weekend.
“The attitude of the club, my attitude towards Robert and the contract situation is known,” Nagelsmann told a news conference before the final Bundesliga game in Wolfsburg. “I am not commenting on all the other topics that are discussed, those are things you can ask the player and also Hasan Salihamidzic (sports director),” the coach stressed.
Lewandowski, 33, will face the last year of his contract with Bayern next season, without having reached an agreement for his extension. The media talk about the owners ensuring that the striker will not sign an extension, although Bayern, until now, has also insisted that he will not be sold this summer.
This Friday, Nagelsmann said that Lewansdownski has trained “very well” this week, confirming that he will start this weekend, in the match that closes the season for the Bavarians against Wolfsburg. “He is in my plans with all normality”, he sentenced.
