Nadal, leader of the list of tennis players with the most victories in a single tournament

Since this Sunday 12 times champion of the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, better known as the Count of Godó, and also 13 times winner of Roland Garros or 11 of the Monte Carlo Masters, Rafa Nadal has established his particular 'dictatorship' in these events. Of course it is not extremely common for a player to dominate a particular tournament to these extremes, but it is not an anomaly either.

Apart from the records already mentioned, no one has won more than Nadal, not in Rome (nine times), not in Madrid or in Canada (five times in both). He has left little on clay for his teammates Big three, Federer and Djokovic, who have had to find their own feats on other surfaces. The Swiss tops the Wimbledon record with eight wins since 2003, the same as he has achieved in Dubai. In Basel and the Gerry Weber Open in Halle he has raised the cup ten times. 'Nole', meanwhile, has more victories at the Australian Open, nine, than anyone else and has also endorsed the Miami Masters 1,000 and the China Open (six-time champion in both). The best streak of the three, however, comes from Rafa, who went on to win eight times in a row in Monte Carlo between 2005 and 2012.
