Nacho Fernandez he just fulfilled his dream when signing the contract renewal with the Real Madrid
after the departure of Sergio Ramos to PSG. The canterano explains to the club's media what it means for him to continue, the help of his parents and the return of Ancelotti.
“Real Madrid is my home. They have helped me to grow, they have taught me all kinds of positive values to face life and everything that is coming to you. I can't imagine a life without Real Madrid because I've been here for almost half my life. Everything that means having years in this club, which is my home, is something positive, that makes me happy. I am very proud to play for Real Madrid for more years ”.
“I remember the first days when I arrived with a lot of nerves and every day that I enter the sports city, I train with my teammates and I continue to get triumphs and titles, it is something that fills me with pride and motivates me. The debut shirt can be one of the most special things. My parents have it. I framed it for them and dedicated it to them because they earned it their whole life. But every detail and everything that I have in my house is very important to me because it means that something good has happened at this club. Surely, when I grow up my children will enjoy it and who knows if my grandchildren will too ”.
On what he has lived with Real Madrid, he says: “I value it a lot. Every year a lot more goes by. Winning a Champions is very complicated and what this team did a few years ago winning three in a row and four in five years is a milestone. You give it much more importance as the years go by because you see that football is very complicated and that it is very difficult to win. These are special moments that as a soccer player you try to repeat but knowing how complicated it is ”.
For Nacho, playing for Real Madrid “is a unique dream. When you are little you dream of playing in the team of your dreams, which in my case was Real Madrid. The group itself is very happy that Ancelotti is back ”.
