Murray: “I would like Roger Federer to be my coach”

Andy Murray counts the hours to compete again from this Friday at the Cincinnati Masters 1,000 before returning to a Grand Slam at the US Open, where he hopes to find his best tennis again after the ordeal caused by the injuries to his hip in recent years.

Murray is focused on the 'bubble' of New York to face both tournaments and, to liven up the wait, He offered to answer the questions asked by his followers through his Instagram account.

One of the questions they asked Murray was “Which ATP player would you like to be trained and why?”, To which the Scotsman replied: “Roger Federer because he would learn a lot and it would be very interesting to talk about tennis with him, watch him train and because he could win a lot.”

We will have to wait at least until the 2021 season for Murray and Federer to meet again on a tennis court, since the Swiss tennis player will not play anymore for the remainder of the 2020 season after undergoing surgery twice for an injury to his left knee. Who knows if, after the retirement of the Swiss, we will see Federer training Andy Murray, just as the Scotsman wishes.
