MADRID, 9 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Swiss coach, Murat Yakin, lamented the lack of “prize” for his team after controlling the second half against Spain on Thursday, in a new defeat in the League of Nations although with “optimism” to think about achieving results.
“We didn’t allow many chances but they punished us for a mistake,” said the local coach in Geneva, after Spain scored 0-1 with Pablo Sarabia’s goal after 15 minutes.
The Swiss team lost the ball at the start of that goal, near their goal, and did not avoid the third defeat in as many days of Group 2 of the First Division of the League of Nations. “If you let them play their game at the end you spend a lot of time chasing the ball,” the Switzerland coach noted.
“We had the second half under control with some tactical changes we made. It was a pity that we didn’t get the reward we deserved for the effort. However, the reaction makes me optimistic about the games to come,” he concluded.
