MADRID, 30 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish-Venezuelan, who has dropped to number 82 in the WTA ranking, continues in free fall and has linked her sixth consecutive defeat; She has not won the Tokyo tournament since September, and since then she has dropped in the first round in San Diego, Adelaide, Adelaide 2, the Australian Open and, now, the French tournament.

Noskova, number 56 in the world, used two breaks to win in 25 minutes of the first set, before coming back from 3-0 with which the Spanish opened the second set with two new ‘break’ that gave her the victory after less than an hour and a quarter of play.

For her part, the Catalan Marina Bassols, ranked 124 in the world, could not go on and succumbed to the number 43 in the ranking. The one from Blanes won the first set after leading 4-1, but she saw how her opponent managed to turn the game around by winning the next two sets.
