Mouse wants the “competition bug” to run through his body again

Zaragoza goalkeeper Alvaro Ratón has commented that the players have “not enjoyed a game for many months” and of “that bug” that runs through the body when playing so they are “eager” to face the first game after stoppage due to coronavirus.

“Right now there is nothing more than the first match against Alcorcón that is going to be a dog's face,” said the Zaragoza goalkeeper in statements to the club's website.

The Galician goalkeeper has commented that the group has returned “a little to the new normal”, to all train as a group and explained that the entire squad is well, “with the joy” of being able to do what they like and to work all together.

He also believes that as they compete they will be better because, in addition, the fact that they are all together again will favor them.

“Having the environment we had before, the joking and the desire to work always helps everything to go better. It is good and positive,” he said.

The 'blanquillo' goalkeeper has assessed some of the factors that may influence the return to competition such as playing behind closed doors or the high temperatures that can occur during games.

“It hurts us a lot to play without our fans, who are one more player when they press but we certainly feel their heat,” he stressed about the impact that playing in a deserted La Romareda stadium can have after having been registering throughout the season a high influx of followers.

Regarding the temperature, he stressed that it can be “an important factor” for games because the players are not so used to playing in the heat.

“We will have to adapt all the teams,” explained the Zaragoza keeper, who added that this season the Aragonese team has had the virtue of having known how to adapt to the different circumstances and problems that have beenfall them.

Mouse considers that the compressed of the competition is going to suppose that the month and a half that they will have ahead is going to be “a non-stop”.

Finally, he assured that Zaragoza continues to have the promotion to First. “We want to fight for that objective and continue being where we are, so there is no other choice but to grit our teeth and continue.”
