We are negotiating to see if we can agree on a plan a little more extensive in terms of years so that you feel more comfortable and have more peace of mind. It would also give us security.

After several years with the bench quite scrambled, have you finally found your coach?

Yes, we coaches have found several. I always remember Paco Herrera, who was something very personal. Sometimes we have found our coach, but when we want to take a quality leap sometimes we expose and it is difficult to get it right permanently. We exhibited with Unzué, with Berizzo, with Luis Enrique, now with Coudet… We also bet on other coaches who have turned out very badly. Frankly, it is one of our pending subjects, in which we have erred most of the time due to the desire to try something different to improve.

We are awaiting what happens with Rubén. The doctor has given Rubén a month to see if he can recover without the need for surgery. If you have to undergo surgery, you will be out for four months. So, there we would have to look for options.

We will have to solve it together. Carreira already has a first team contract. He is going to do the preseason with the first team and Coudet will decide if it is better to find him a loan and if he wants to leave. The same thing happens with Kevin.

How did you experience the conflict between Mallo and Óscar?

There are two types of captaincy, that of the club, which was never retired, and that of the field, which depends on the coach. That was withdrawn and we have to respect him because he makes the decisions, although many times we can question them. The club cannot bypass the coach's authority and we did so, but he had our full support.

Is it necessary to open a new negotiation for Murillo and Aarón to continue?

Indeed. They are two players who want to stay and that is why we have a lot of progress. But on the other side are the clubs, who made an investment for them and want to get it back. The figures that these teams are asking for, Celta will not arrive. That does not mean that they will not be with us, but they will have to improve those conditions. At the last minute we may be able to reach an agreement, but now it is very difficult.

Our idea is to sign versatile people. It would be ideal to play a central defender who could play on the left, but we also have players in the reserve team, as in this case Pampín, who is still not prepared to play many games in the First Division, but he is very capable of making ten, twelve or fifteen games if the starter is injured.

Are you afraid that Tapia could go out this summer?

It is true that it can come out, but I would not use the verb fear. If they give us 30 million for Tapia, which is their clause, we lose a position that was extraordinarily well covered, but maybe we win three or four places and make a better team.

Are you willing to negotiate below the clause?

I think that Fran lately is showing that he can play a very important role at Celta. We all like that he wants to have more minutes, but I think he is going to wait now to play the European Championship with the U21 National Team and he should focus on that. Of course yes. When you want to make quality leaps, you have to expose a lot. And when you exhibit, sometimes it goes well and sometimes it goes wrong. Emre Mor went wrong for us, despite his great sporting potential. He did not catch on with the coaches or with the city and he does not feel comfortable.

I am optimistic and if you tell me if you are going to be at Celta, I would say yes.

Do they have advanced management to fill the position of forward?

There are a series of names that we proposed to the coach, others that the coach proposed to us and we are in the analysis. There are a couple of players who have already passed the first screening, that is, the coach and the technical secretary agree on the names, but from the moment a name approved by them comes out until the signing is a long time.

Are those two players from LaLiga?

Every other.

What tip profile are you looking for?

For our way of playing, not all forwards are good. I think that the conviction is more for what the player can give to this type of game than looking for a tank, or someone who drops the ball very well, or someone who plays very well on his back. We have to combine that he scores goals with what he contributes to the game.

Does Rafa Mir fit into that profile?

Light man. He would fit in for Celta and for many teams because he is a magnificent player. Since a name is given until something can be done is a very difficult route. Besides, he belongs to an English team and it is not easy to negotiate with the English. And on the other hand, he has done very well and surely has many teams behind him.

How did the conflict generated in the last subscriber campaign make you feel?

A very bad feeling. We remain convinced that the campaign was not bad, but perhaps we failed in communication. That was our grave mistake, our grave sin, and when you sin and consciously know that you have sinned, you have to carry penance. Personally, I carry it.

We're on that. We have a lot of ideas, but there is nothing yet. We are trying to come up with ideas, but we have not gone into the details yet.

Will there be a hymn?

I don't know, but it is a possibility. It is true that several artists have already been offered and it is a satisfaction that they are looking for us and not the other way around.

Do you have the succession planned?

The future of Celta is very consolidated, whoever is in this chair. The economic management will be solved for several years and whoever is here will be able to have that peace of mind. Personally, the bets I made were fulfilled and I am very satisfied. I don't have much else to fight for at Celta. I always said that as long as I had the illusion I would continue and I still have the illusion of the centenary. Later it will be seen.
