José Mourinho, coach of Roma, and the general director of the ‘giallorosso’ club, Tiago Pinto, paid tribute this Thursday to the memory of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the president of Leicester who died in a plane crash that occurred next to the King Power Stadium on 27 October 2018. Both technicians laid flowers next to the statue dedicated to the late leader of the English club. Roma play the Conference League semi-final first leg against Leicester on Thursday.
Mourinho took advantage of Roma’s visit to Napoli in a Serie A match to pay tribute to Diego Armando Maradona on April 17. As soon as he arrived in Naples by train, the first thing the Portuguese coach did after settling in the team hotel was to go to the Quartieri Spagnoli area to lay a bouquet of flowers at the foot of the mythical and immense mural of Maradona in the Naples shirt presiding over the wall of a building. Mourinho was applauded by the hundred local fans present there.
