Mourinho: “My methods are incomparable”

José Mourinho's Tottenham still doesn't see the light at the end of the tunnel and against West Ham they had their fifth loss in the last six games of Premier League. The set that invited to dream of a possible assault to the title in the month of November, has completely deflated and occupies the ninth position in the league, already nine points behind the Champions League places League.

Doubts begin to assail Mourinho's project and the Portuguese coach begins to be questioned in England, despite having a millionaire contract until 2023. His complicated situation added even more interest to the post-match press conference and the controversial coach has not disappointed defending his work and that of his coaching staff at the question of whether he was questioning himself.

“No, not at all. The results are a consequence of multiple situations. My methods and those of my staff are incomparable. I don't know what you mean by crisis. If the crisis is frustration and sadness in the dressing room, I do believe that we are in one and I believe that we all show it. But when a team fights in the way we have done to try to achieve a different result, you cannot speak of a group crisis. I'd say this is a losing streak of results“.

Mourinho wanted to make it clear that his work in charge of Tottenham is not being the cause of the team's losing streak, also defending his players and the role they are playing. “I think we are not in the position that our potential deserves, even believing for a long time that we have problems that I can't solve as a coach“said the technician to the BBC.

To finish, Mourinho spoke about the game that his team was about to come back thanks in large part to a good Gareth Bale. “I feel that the result should have been different as we played. I have a feeling of 'deja vu'. We started the game with one mistake and the second half with another. The team in the second half has tried absolutely everything. “He praised the Welshman: “No one can doubt his quality. Another thing is if we talk about his ability to play three games in a week. That's another history. We have to make the best of it. The other day we gave him 65 minutes, not 90. If we start today it is too much for him, it is a risk. You have to be confident. “

Tottenham with this new defeat sinks a little more and qualification to Europe begins to get complicated. Burnley, Crystal Palace and Arsenal They are the next three league games, where with hardly any injuries, they will have to show their face if they do not want to completely detach from the European train.
