Moss throws more touchdowns than any other player in Holiday Bowl history, which helps USC win even without Williams.

IN SAN DIEGO— For the start of the Pac-12 Association season, USC had a six-pack and an eggnog soak to recollect the good times.

Miller Moss had a Football Bowl record of six sacks in his first college match, while Caleb Williams sat on the bench and watched.

No. 16 Louisville’s poor season came to an end on Wednesday night when they lost to USC 42–28. After the game, a tub of wine was poured over Trojans coach Lincoln Riley’s face.

Winner of the 2022 Heisman Trophy, Williams didn’t play in the game. Instead, he wore his No. 13 shirt near his neck and watch from the stands.

He ran out on the grass and leapt on Moss while the party was going on at Petco Park. Rose had recently sacrificed two knees and was in great form.

Still, some Knights showed up to play. Wide receiver Tahj Washington, who was in his second year of college and scored two scores, was one of them. One of them was Williams.

When asked if Moss won the quarterback of choice spot to earn next year, Kyron Hudson, a wide receiver who stopped a kickoff and then grabbed a pass for a score soon after, said, “Yes, he did.

What Miller’s did out there will help us in the future.” Miller makes me very happy. He’s ready because the time is right. That person is needed.

When Williams College, who was supposed to be the initial selection in the NFL draft, changed his mind, Moss rushed at the chance.

There was one pick and 23 completions by Moss, for 372 yards. There were four players who shared the Holiday Trophy title for most scores thrown.

Tom McMahon scored four in BYU’s astonishing 46-45 turnaround win across SMU in 1980. It was broken.

Late in the third quarter, Moss threw a 12-yard pass to the jumping Ja’Kobi Lane in the middle of the field. A big event happened. Lane’s second land leap of the game gave UCLA a 35–21 lead.

Isaac Guerendo ran 23 times for Louisville (10-4), getting three points. He went 161 yards. Jack Plummer threw for 141 yards, but the team didn’t score any.

The starting quarterback hurt his finger right after the second period started and had an operation to have this popped back in. He throws with his other hand. He said it didn’t change the way he threw.

Washington also caught scores from Moss from 17 along with 29 yards away. Washington caught balls for 1,000 yards for the first time that season.

The first punt was stopped by Hudson, and it went out of bounds at the Lions’ 18-yard line. Next, he made a 9-yard pass that scored.

“It just wasn’t one of our better days,” Jeff Brohm, the coach at Louisville, said. “It had several swift men on our backups.” “Some of those guys played effectively all year long; currently wasn’t their most good day.”

In his debut college game, Miller Moss threw for six touchdowns, which is a Football Bowl record. Caleb Williams watch from the seats.

When asked if Moss won the quarterback’s starting spot for subsequent years, broad receiver Kerryon Hud said, “Yes, he did.

What Miller accomplished out there represents an accomplishment which will help us as a team in the future.”

Hudson had just fumbled a punt and afterwards caught a touchdown pass. Miller makes me very happy. He’s ready because the time is right. That person is needed.

He also scored six touchdowns in his first game for USC (8-5), which had lost three straight games and five of its previous six games.

They were in a race for the national championship before that. They tied the Pac-12 postseason record and set a bowl record for the Trojans.

Today was the last football game for the Trojans in the Pac-12. They’re leaving the Pac-12 to play in the Big Ten next season, together with UCLA, the state of Oregon, and Washington.
