Moriyasu: “We dedicate this victory to all the people of Japan”

MADRID, 2 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Japan coach, Hajime Moriyasu, was very satisfied that his players managed to “turn the page” after their defeat against Costa Rica to beat Spain this Thursday (2-1) on the last day of the World Cup group stage of Qatar, and has dedicated “to all the people of Japan” the victory and the pass to the round of 16, where they will face Croatia.

“My players managed to turn the page -after losing to Costa Rica-. We managed to play as a united team and, with that, we increased our chances of winning. I found out about the goals from Costa Rica, but also about those from Germany. We knew that the A tie was useful for us, but the important thing is that we won,” he declared at a press conference.

On the other hand, the Japanese coach wanted to dedicate the important victory to his compatriots. “I saw many people in the stands who have come from Japan to support us, this victory is for them. We dedicate it to all the people of Japan. For Asia and for Japan, our victories against Spain and Germany, two of the best teams in the world, they are something that gives a lot of confidence”, he explained.
