Morata improves Griezmann's numbers this year

This week marks the sixth anniversary of the signing of Griezmann by Atlético. The Frenchman came from the Royal Society in exchange for 30 million euros, the amount of its termination clause. After five seasons at the club, Antoine decided to change clubs and join Messi at Barcelona. For this, the azulgranas they paid the 120 million euros worth of their freedom. In the five campaigns he played for the rojiblanco club, Griezmann played a total of 257 games in which he scored 133 goals and gave 50 assists, being the leader of those of Simeone on the grass. After his departure, the gallons in those related to the goal have been taken by Morata, as evidenced by the data of this season.

In his first year away from Wanda Metropolitano, Griezmann has played for Barcelona 3371 ' (the fourth most of the template) spread over 46 matches (35 from LaLiga, seven from Champions, three from Copa del Rey and one from the Spanish Super Cup). Total has scored 15 goals (nine in the domestic championship, two in the maximum continental competition, three in the tournament of the k.o. and one in the tournament of Arabia) and has given four assists. That results somewhat every 224.73 minutes.

For his part, Morata has participated in a total of 2783 'divided into 43 matches (34 in LaLiga, seven in Champions and one in the Spanish Super Cup) in which has scored 16 goals (12 in the league championship, three in Europe and one in Arabia) and has given four goal passes. Morata's scoring ratio is one goal every 173.93 minutes, needing almost 50 minutes less on the pitch than Griezmann to drill the rival goal.

Both shared team last season (during half the campaign, since Morata came to Atlético in the winter market) and At that time the Frenchman scored five goals and the Madrid player six in the 17 games in which he participated (he played 1211 'and scored a target every 201.83 minutes). In the global of the season Griezmann scored 21 goals in 4068 ’(one every 193.71). Therefore, if we stick to the data, it seems that in this “break” the one who has stopped the best is Morata. His goal-per-minute ratio has improved over last year (now he needs to be 28 'less on the field to score), while the Frenchman has made it worse (it takes 31 'more than last year to score a goal).
