Morata equals Luis Enrique as a scorer in Champions

Álvaro Morata entered the top 5 of Spanish scorers in the Champions League. With the double that he scored against Ferencvaros, Morata equals Luis Enrique with 19 goals in fifth position in a table led by Raúl with 71 goals, Morientes with 33 goals and Cesc Fàbregas and Fernando Torres with 20 goals.

The Juventus striker has fully started his second spell at the Italian club. Morata has scored six goals in the seven games he has played, 4 in the Champions League in three games and 2 in Calcio in 4 games. In addition, in these games, they have canceled 6 goals out of play and one because the ball hit him in the hand before (3 of those goals against Barça in the Champions League).

His scoring streak and his state of form suggest that Luis Enrique can call Morata for the National Team on the list that he will make public tomorrow for the games against the Netherlands, Switzerland and Spain. Not many changes are expected in the call-up with respect to the block that the selector has led the last two lists in which Morata was not present, but he had not competed with Atlético either because the mattress team started later.

In the match against Ukraine, it was found that Spain lacks a striker to turn its dominance into goals and Morata has submitted his candidacy to return with the performance he has shown in his good start with Juve. Álvaro competes to be the 9th in Spain with Gerard Moreno, Paco Alcacer, Rodrigo Moreno or Mikel Oyarzabal and Ferran who have played as a false nine with La Roja.

In the week that Morata equals Luis Enrique among the top scorers of Spanish players in the Champions League, the coach can call him back with the National Team. All the players who head that list (Raúl, Morientes, Cesc and Torres) were important with Spain. Luis Enrique was also it and Morata wants to be it. With the National Team he has scored 17 goals in 33 games.
