Monday games in Week 14: Tennessee Titans during Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers that New York Giants

Editor’s note: USA TODAY Sports has a full report on the Monday night football game between the Titans and the Dolphins.

The New York Giants won 24–22 on Randy Bullock’s 37-yard touchdown kick with seconds left in the game. It was their third straight win with rookie qb Tommy DeVito at quarterback.

The Packers of Green Bay lost all three of their games they were winning on Monday night. As a result, they almost lost their chance to make the NFC playoffs.

With 6-7 records, Green Bay is still in third place in the conference and the last wild card spot. They are now tied against the Rams, Seahawks, Falcons, and Saints for that spot.

Young player Malik Heath made his first career 6-yard touchdown catch with 1:33 left in the game.

It looked like the Packers could get away, but they gave DeVito a lot of time. The unknown third-stringer led New York to the game-winning touchdown by driving the ball 57 yards in eight plays.

The Giants’ game-winning drive started with a 32-yard pass for Wan’Dale Robinson. DeVito threw for 158 yards as well as a touchdown, and for the third week in a row, his passer rating was at least 100.0.

In the last few minutes of the fourth quarter, the Miami Dolphins lost a 14-point lead. The Tennessee Titans beat the Baltimore Ravens 28–27 thanks to Will Levis.

The Pack’s loss also gave the 49ers of San Francisco a spot in the playoffs. As the league leaders, they were the first team to officially lock up a spot.

Then, at MetLife Stadium, Tommy DeVito led the offensive drive that won the game and set up the 37-yard field goal that won it for the New York Giants, 24–22.

The Giants took the lead with two touchdown drives led by DeVito in the third quarter. They were in a good spot late in the game to hold on to secure the win.

Still, running back Saquon Barkley tripped and lost the ball while on a run, giving it right back to Green Bay.

But DeVito led the Giants 57 yards down the playing surface and made all four of his shots on the last drive, which set up the game-winning field goal.

He completed 17 out of 21 passes for 158 yards to earn the win, the Giants’ third in a row. He also ran 10 times for 71 yards.

Down in Miami, the Titans were tied with the Dolphins going into the fourth quarter. But, they made two big mistakes right after each other that should have caused them the game.

The Titans messed up a punt inside a 10-yard line, which let Raheem Mostert score on a short run.

The Titans then lost the ball again on their next play and gave it back to Miami. Then Mostert scored, putting them ahead 27–13 near the end of the fourth quarter.

With only 2:40 left, though, William Levis found DeAndre Hopkins for a touchdown, and they scored the extra point to make the score six points.

When the two-minute warning came on, they had the ball back and were back in the red zone after just two plays.

Will Levis and his team scored two touchdowns in just over thirty seconds to come back from being down 14 points and win their first game away from home this season. Miami lost their first game at home this season.

With two scores from Raheem Mostert, the Dolphins scored 17 points in a row to go ahead 27–13 in the fourth quarter.

The rookie quarterback did throw a touchdown to the veteran receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and Derrick Henry scored his second touchdown of the day to help Tennessee win.

We knew that tonight, on national TV, we had a chance to do something special. It would probably be our last evening game.

Levis said on the ESPN show after the game, “I hope people in America loved what they saw.”

“This season, I think we proved them the kind of team we always felt we could be.” Yes, there were times when we didn’t play well, but our locker room was full of great guys.

It was a great job by the defense against such a strong attack. I’m so happy for them and glad we managed to make it to the end.
