Monchi reassures: “I don't see that the important players are going to move”

The Sevilla player lives with some fear because the good performance of the team in the Europa League, with the title won in Cologne against Inter, makes the big clubs go for their stars, but Monchi does not expect big movements in this market .

The Nervionense sports director does not believe that men like Diego Carlos or Ocampos will go out despite the insistent rumors that appear in that regard.

“The performance of the team in LaLiga and the Europa League has attracted attention, both collectively and individually, but I see few movements. The market is very stopped, the teams suffer the economic consequences of the pandemic, and I do not see that the important players of the club are going to move. If anyone had to move, we will try to supply it in the best possible way. I would like to convey a message of tranquility to sevillismo. I do not see the exit of any important player in this market because there are no important offers for them, ”explained the man from Cádiz in‘ The Day After ’.

In the opinion of the San Fernando, the crisis and the short time there is to sign will mean that there will be much less movement this year. “It is an atypical season, a very small summer market, with little time to maneuver. We started later and it has condensed into 15 or 20 days what is normally three months. We walk with the agenda overflowing. It is necessary to face it with normality, professionalism and manage the assets and needs of the team as well as possible ”, he indicated.

Monchi has been proposed by the Seville City Council to receive the City Medal, which the sports director thanked through his social networks. “Proud to have been proposed to receive the Gold Medal of the City for @Ayto_Sevilla. I owe a lot of who I am to her, who welcomed me as her own 32 years ago. By the way, I would give the award to you. It cannot be more beautiful, Seville ”, he wrote attaching a beautiful photo of the Giralda with a large moon in the background.
