Monbus Obradoiro signs center Rubén Guerrero

MADRID, 16 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish center Rubén Guerrero has signed this Saturday for Monbus Obradoiro, reaching an agreement for the next two seasons, according to a club statement.

“Monbus Obradoiro has reached an agreement with Rubén Guerrero and Unicaja to hire the player for the next two seasons,” the team reported.

The center, 2.13 meters tall and 26 years old, comes from averaging 3.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 13.5 minutes (33 games) in the Endesa League. Born in Marbella, he went to the United States after debuting in LEB Gold and Silver with Clínicas Rincón. After passing through Sunrise Christian High School and the universities of South Florida and Samford, he would return to Malaga, where he has completed the last three seasons in the highest category of Spanish basketball with Unicaja. He is an absolute international, U-20 and U-18.

“With Rubén we hope to enhance the team’s athletic ability. He is a hard-working player who still has room for improvement and who has wanted to make that journey in our club, so we will help each other to achieve his growth in the Endesa League”, said the general manager of the club, José Luis Mateo.
