Moments of uncertainty in a sunken Cádiz

Cádiz’s defeat against Osasuna left the club with many pending questions. Not only for leaving points again along the way and continuing in the relegation zone. The coup in Pamplona was much more than that. And it is that the image of the team was too bad. In 90 minutes there was not a single shot on goal. Now, the entity has big decisions to make.

The first one who can go wrong due to the current situation is Álvaro Cervera. The coach could no longer have the confidence of the entity and his hours on the Cadista bench would be counted. There are already several names that are valued, among them, Manolo Jiménez, Juande Ramos and Sergio González. The latter is the one with the most strength.

The dismissal of Álvaro Cervera could put a large part of the fans against the club, since the coach led the team from the former Second B to the First Division.

But nevertheless, Cádiz needs reinforcements if it wants to fight for permanence. A change of coach is not the solution. Now, the offices of the Yellow Submarine are working against the clock to achieve closing incorporations as soon as possible. One of them could be that of Manu Vallejo, a signing that would return to the fans some enthusiasm.

And it is that Cádiz is no longer worth with what he did. Defending and waiting for the counter has given great results, but when the team is focused and believes in what it does. When not, despite defending, he receives goals. That coupled with the total inability to face goal makes the yellows drag one defeat after another with a tie in between. Speed per belt has also been lost. The casualties take their toll on a team already depleted this season after not achieving the desired results. Many things to solve and less and less margin.

Difficult and turbulent moments are coming in the Cádiz offices. Now they have to make difficult decisions that can cause discomfort in the fans. For their part, the squad enjoyed a day off today and will exercise again tomorrow until next Friday. On Saturday, they will have a Copa del Rey match and it will be necessary to see if Álvaro Cervera continues on the bench or if his replacement is already making his debut with the yellow team against Sporting de Gijón.
