The XXXIII Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Ciclista Mallorca, whose different trophies will be held from January 24 to 28 of this year, confirmed the last teams that will take part in the Mallorcan event, with the presence of Mikel Landa in his new team, the Soudal Quick-Step, and Marc Soler as team leader of the UAE Team Emirates.
The UAE Team Emirates confirmed that Marc Soler will attend the Challenge to start his 2024 season. “Runner who defends himself in all terrains, team man with great triumphs, Tour del Porvenir, Paris Nice and the Pollensa-Andrach Trophy of the Challenge Ciclista Mallorca 2020”, recalled the organization.
Another well-known Spanish face in the international squad is Mikel Landa, who debuts colors in 2024 after leaving Bahrain and signing for the Soudal Quick-Stem Team. Like Soler, he will open the calendar in Mallorca.
In addition, Cofidis confirmed that Jesús Herrada, who already knows what it is to win in the Challenge Ciclista Mallorca – he won the Las Salinas-Campos-Porreras-Felanich Trophy in 2019 and in 2021 the Serra de Tramuntana Trophy -, will repeat the adventure in the Mallorcan event.
On the other hand, in the Lotto DSTNY they will go to the trophies with the veteran Thomas de Gent, the Lidl-Trek Development Team with Carlos Verona – signed from the Movistar Team – and the Saris Rouvy Sauerland Team will go with Yago Aguirre, winner of the championship from Spain as a youth team that made the leap to the professional world with this German team.
