The Norwegian player Ingrid Engen will continue at FC Barcelona until 2025 after signing a new contract with the Blaugrana club on Tuesday, which she arrived in the summer of 2021 and with which she commits, at the age of 24, for the following two seasons.
“Ingrid Engen has renewed her contract with FC Barcelona until June 30, 2025. The Norwegian midfielder, who ended her relationship with the club at the end of the season, has signed her continuity for another two more years,” the club announced.
The midfielder arrived in 2021 from German Wolfsburg, where she spent two seasons. After a first adaptation campaign, so far this second year he is managing to have more importance in Jonatan Giráldez’s schemes. He has, in total, 55 games and 6 goals.
“I am super happy to be able to stay here for more years. It is still a dream to play for this club. From the first moment I arrived I felt at home,” Engen told the club’s official media.
The Norwegian claimed to feel “very good” and evolving “every day”. “I feel very good on the field. This season I have shown who I am on the field of play, I have been able to help the team and that is what I hope to do more”, she valued.
